# Communications Integrations

Connect Slack and choose which NationGraph notifications it receives.

### Slack Integration

Connect Slack to receive NationGraph notifications in a channel you choose.

1. Go to **Settings → Integrations** and connect Slack.
2. Choose **For Myself** for a personal connection or **For Organization** for a shared connection. Organization connections require integration permissions, which owners and admins have by default.
3. Choose the channels NationGraph can use.
4. Go to **Settings → Notifications**. Under the connected workspace, choose a channel and enable **Real-time alerts**.
5. Optionally enable the separate **Signal** digest subscription.

Real-time Slack alerts mirror supported in-app notifications, including RFP and grant saved-view matches, FOIA results, and supported Automation completion or failure notices. Slack delivery does not replace the in-app notification.

### Disconnect Slack

Disconnect the Slack integration from **Settings → Integrations** when you no longer want notifications delivered to that workspace.

Disconnecting stops future Slack delivery. Notifications still appear in the in-app notification inbox, and disconnecting does not remove historical Slack messages that were already posted.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://nationgraph.gitbook.io/nationgraph/help-center/readme/integration-overview/communications-integrations.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
